• I'm down the Daly River. Um, 1st trip down here after that massive flood, mate, this year, and I tell you, there's a lot of things that have changed down here, and not all for the bad.

• It's the Daly River public boat ramp only opened up virtually the day the competition started a couple of last week, so no one's really been out there to see how the river's fishing and they had some record catches through the comp.

• So, if you add that to the Daly River, being sort of at record flood levels, and then, of course, Catherine, um, the only place that we can, well, the only big river we can really get to with any ease without having to do a 4 hour trip like I am today is, um, is the Adelaide River, mate.

• The Daly River's still up really high. Yeah, so the whole of the northern territories where at the moment, which of course, as we keep saying, it's going to be good later on.

• Daly River's evacuated at the moment and that river's probably, I haven't checked it lately, but it would be almost be at record levels right now, I reckon, and they have been saying on the radio that it's the wetest start to the wet season in 29 years.

• But there's some other pressing stuff to get to first, which is all this water that is just pumping through the Daly River at the moment and more on its way.

• Yeah, not too many at the moment, although, if we get a day or 2 sort of reprieve from a bit of fairly windy weather, it'll, it'll be all go, the Daly River jumped up to over 7 metres there the other day from, from running at only a couple of metres um the day before, sort of thing after a big rain.

• I think we might have one or 2 spots left there for the black bass, fishing and barram, undy fishing ride in the middle of the western province, on a, on a lake, mate, that's 60,000 acres, with 5 rivers that flow into it, about the size of the Daly River.

• But there's been a few people catch a couple, especially those crew down at the Daly River.
