We're a fishing safari business, not a data company. This site is built to collect as little about you as possible, and here's the plain-English version of how it works.
What this website collects
- Nothing automatically. No analytics trackers, no advertising pixels, no tracking cookies.
- Enquiry forms send us exactly what you typed — your name, email, and whatever trip details you filled in — and nothing else. It arrives as an email in our inbox, delivered by Resend, our email delivery service. We use it to answer you. We don't add you to any mailing list off the back of an enquiry.
- Free guide sign-ups (like the Black Books, the tides cheat sheet or newsletters) are delivered through Kit, our email service. Your name and email go to Kit so we can send you the guide and the occasional fishing update. Unsubscribe links are in every email and they work.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security and reliability, like every website on the internet.
What we do with your information
When you enquire or book, we use your details to plan and run your trip — and for nothing else. We don't sell, rent or swap your information with anyone. Trip details are shared only where the trip needs it (for example, a lodge that needs your name for a booking).
Photos and video on trips
Watty takes photos and video on trips, for your use and to promote the business. If you'd rather your images weren't shared, just say so before or during the trip and they won't be. This is also covered in the booking terms.
Third-party links
Links to our live availability calendar (Teamup), our free guides (Canva), social media and similar services take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies.
