• And I can see 2 buffaloes just past the fishing boat that we're driving past right now, and only 50 metres off the bank, but yeah, it's um, robbery bill belongs to one section of the Mary River, which is a couple of 100 K's long, and flows out to sea at a pretty famous barra fishing spot people know called Shady Camp.

• So, you know, the show goes on as far as my stuff, as long as we can get to and from the river, which, you know, this week with the rivers up out to Shady Camp in Kakadu, people have been helicopter and in and out as they've been stranded and all sorts of things.

• You can always tell a Shady Camp guide's car because it's filthy, all run off and mine's just nice and clean because we just idle in and out on the bitchy, but don't tell anyone about that.

• And so the roads close from Bird Billabong right through to the South Alligator River, out that way, which means no one can get the Shady Camp and do any guided fishing out there either.

• Um, the coastal creeks around, uh, Shady Camp, and the Mary River there, efficient really well as long as the weather's not too rough to get to them, and, and then, of course, they're into Kakadu, where I'm heading, um, is, is sort of easier as well, um, when it's all flooded up on the Billabong floodplains there.

• So Shady Camp, it's a bit of a misnomer, actually, not a hell of a lot of shade there. There's a few big old banyan trees back up in the campground, which um, which do provide a lot of shade, but also they provide shade for all the mozzies, which are about the size of a bloody kookaburra down there.
