The dry season

• We've got a lot of cool stuff coming up in the next couple of months up here, of course, whereas we get further into the dry season.

• The mud crabs are running and yeah, I know some of those billabongs out in Kakadu are really starting to fire as the water drops away a little bit and the temperature stabilises into its sort of 26, 27 degree dry season temperature.

• You know, you get access to a whole nother river system for the 1st time in, in this season and, and there's been plenty of fish going on over there as well as it's just a really spectacular spot to go for a fish and, and in the meantime, mate, since I did talk to you last, we've really kicked into this dry season weather.

• I've seen a lot of cattle get taken out on the Vic River at times, especially at the end of the dry season when they're going down to the water to drink and they get bulked and they're very poor themselves.

• Mud crabbing is huge in Darwin Harbour hasn't been commercially crabbed for over 20 years, so the stocks are well and truly up there and the, um, it's, it's really easy throughout um, dry season in particular to go, go out for half a day and come back with, with half a dozen or 10 mug crabs and a few fish.
