Boat ramps

• All the boats racing around, chasing tuna, Queenies and Max around right up through the harbour, all the way up into the Elizabeth River arm, which is our closest boat ramp to my place.

• It's pretty hard to keep it secret because it's 20 metres from the boat ramp and then we sat there for 4 or 5 hours and probably caught 50 barrows as everyone was putting their boats in and driving away.

• And then as the tide got bigger and started backing that water up in the last couple of days, it just really lit up and you can sit at the very 1st creek from the boat ramp and catch 40 bar in the day easily, as well as watch those crocodiles eat buffalo for breakfast, which was pretty cool.

• They can dawdle their way out, go to the tackle shop or come into town for a count of meal or whatever, and they sometimes will want to drive themselves to the boat ramp in the morning, and that provides really good flexibility if someone does want to knock off at lunchtime because they're a bit tired.
