You're you, Chief Penister. Glenn, what? Well, I probably should have ran against Trumpy and Biden over there. That's the thing that those Americans fall for, isn't it?

Well, at least you could have stayed awake through half of it. I mean, one of those blokes was dozing off, wouldn't you? I mean... You know what I said to my young lady, aren't we lucky, will you be?

I reckon. Oh, I don't know about old mate. They still don't know who's won it, do they? Or they're all trying to work it out.

I don't know. Ah, but anyway, you know, I think you're better off, I think, to stick to the local issues. Forget the, you know, leave the American presidency for what, for now. want you to start off small and become the mayor of, you know, Palmerston or one of those little, you know, suburbs up there.

And then, you know, then get on to Michael Gunner and take his job and then, you know, and then work your way up and then hopefully, by the time you do that, mate, you might be, you might be sweet, run for presidency. I don't know whether I got it in me. It seems like they have to do a fair bit of work, though, blokes. just go fishing.

Yeah, no, exactly right, mate. Yeah, listen, the $1000000 fish, I saw through the week, Watty, that there's been a few dollars one up there. Yeah, that's right. Number 8 got caught in the last few days.

So that's um 80 grams so far that's been won by um people up here fishing for Barrow. So, that was another one caught at Nightcliff, um, which is a very popular spot to go down for a little walk in the evening or a, or a flick. There's a lot of big really nice walking track along the foreshore there and a very popular fishing spot off the jetty there. So, um, yeah, it's interesting to see though, that fish had travelled a fair bit, which they do tend to do it this time of year, but, um, yeah, he'd probably gone 20 odd kilometres from where he was, um, tagged and released.

So yeah, that's interesting. Carly, one of the local lady, she caught him, so she'll be happy. Yeah, absolutely. And the big one's still out there, isn't it?

Million dollars? Oh yeah, definitely. So there's, yeah, I mean, there's actually, there's more than one. I think there was 3 released this year and then all the others from previous year sort of come back into play as well.

So, um, yeah, there's, there's upwards of half a dozen or more, fish out there that, um, you know, have got that tag with the $10000 attached to it. So, very exciting for anyone who even gets a glimmer of one, which I think, I don't know whether I told you, but we, we actually hooked and, and lost a barrow with a tag on it, on a fission char there a few weeks ago, which I was spewing about, because that could have been the retirement package for me. So, when you say a charter. So that means it would have been one of your customers who had it.

Who gets the money, Watty? Oh, well, if they read the fine print, they don't get one. Well, to look at that next time I go out with you. Yeah, you got to watch that.

Oh, didn't you notice on your credit card bill that I charged a double because you were late. That's part of the. Still confident about being 3 minutes late. I mean, fair deacon.

Mate, no, I noticed I saw some photos you sent me, you, the boat's coming along, mate. You're wrapping the boat. looks good. Yeah, that's right.

I'm actually looking at the boys down there now. They're working hard. It's actually a nice cool day here today, a bit of breeds and have a bit of rain later today. So, yeah, the 1st sight of the wrap of the boat's gone on this morning, and um, and once I finish the smoker, they'll hook into the 2nd side of it, uh, the motor's on and console's about finished, so we'll be into wiring and stuff over the weekend, and we might be floating by this time next week, which will be great.

Oh, happy days, mate. That'll be good. It's gonna look good too. All done on that great northern brewery branding and your logo, Barefoot Fishing Safaris, and it'll certainly stand out, mate, when you're out on the water with that thing, that's for sure.

Yeah, that's right. It is, it's going to be really, really special piece of equipment to have. And I sort of feel like a bit too flash for me when I look at it now sitting in the shed, but I'll dare to go up pretty soon and be able to feel like home. Yeah, definitely mate.

Now, mate, you just mentioned it's pretty cool up there. So what is it? What, 34 or something? Yeah, it probably is about that right now.

And maybe even a couple of degrees cooler. We've got a nice um overcast day and a cool breeze, which has been very pleasant um reprove after the last um little period there we've had with really quite oppressive heat and um uh just a bit of a dry spell, but looks like there's some rain coming in the next few days and it's all we need to keep the system ticking along until December and the big monsoon comes down and rains on us for a few weeks with any luck. Mate, when does the charters finish? Must be soon.

Yeah, I've pretty much pulled up now actually. Uh, it's, even though people are, uh, still keen to go. Once you actually get them out on the water, it really is pretty hot for them. The $1000000 fish stuff and there's plenty of other operators still going at the moment.

I'm encouraging people to do half days. If anything, so we just go out and really hit the peak time. So we're not knocking people around too much. Plus, I've got, you know, I've got all this other stuff on the go to, which is keeping me very busy, so I'll have a rest up now and and um sort of get everything ready for a mid-February kickoff again um after a big wet season for uh for what's um actually shaping up to be the busiest year ever.

Yeah, good stuff. Absolutely. I reckon it's going to be the busiest year ever. is for sure.
