Hello, Watty. You there, son? Yeah, I'm back on dry land now, thank God. They tell me you're talking about dry land, you've heard a bit of a dry spell since you've got back from up there, eh?

Yeah, it was a pretty wet week out there, mate. So, um, yeah, I've had a few days without a beer, but we looking forward to getting into one when we heads south in a couple of days, but that was a, uh, it was a crack a week. With the bullies out in not remote, uh West Arnham land. We got into a few nice big bars too, which is a good part. I need to be able to full on one at the end of the year, yeah.

She's a fine, she a bit ordinary, mate. Can you stand on something or put your phone in the air or I'll go and stand on the right post on the fence. No, that's working, so there's thing there, mate. So, but yeah, so West Arnold, mate, do you bring a lot of fish back?

I were brought back 3 or 4 Barra each and a couple of snapper, which, you know, it's actually not far off a bag limit. I, you're allowed to bring 4th or have 4 fish or 5 barra in your um, possession and uh, 3 golden snapper each. So, yeah, we're, we're about on a limit, but we ate a lot of fish while we were there, of course, which was really nice, and uh, you know, it's actually the only time of year I ever actually put some fish in the freezer because throughout the year, of course, I'll get it from week to week, but this time of year, I, I bang a few in the freezer, and we give it to the old neighbours and stuff for Christmas time, and, and if we've got a bit of spare, I'll, I'll chuck it in the bag and take it down south for a bit of a barbeque down there as well. Yeah, that's right.

You're heading back to the family farm and for Christmas, I think we've spoken to you just about every Christmas, over the last 4 or 5, if not more, of you down there, and they put you to work down there, don't they? Well, hopefully not as much this time because the old man's retired from farming now, so he's actually going to be over in Thailand until a couple of days before Christmas at a cousin's wedding. But yeah, we'll go there. We've got a cousin that leases the property now, so, of course, there'll be a bit, few jobs to do, and we'll go and raid the abbey dams and see if we can catch a cod or a redfin in the local lake, and catch up with everyone down there.

of course, it's something we look forward to. Every 2 years we get down to the farm and every other year we're sort of up here or someone else. We got a few days in Adelaide on the way through. We gonna try and see if we can get a day at the test cricket as well, which could be pretty exciting.

Yeah, that'd be okay. Yeah, down there. Adelaide Oval. The city of churches.

They mind, Adelaide, down there, actually not that long ago ourselves. Mate, Christmas up in the Top End. I mean, it wouldn't be a bad place to be, would it? I mean, plenty happening all the time up there.

There's things on. I mean it'd be... I mean, what happens up, say, around Dundee Beach around Christmas time. That would be a good place to be.

Yeah, it certainly is. Yeah, we had the olds came up here for Christmas last year and it was really good. It's actually quite a wet Christmas, which keeps it pretty cool, and because there's not as much crowd around, which is nice, and there is plenty of things on still, even, even in that, um, sort of week leading up to Christmas, uh, like there's all sorts of shows and concerts and stuff going on. So, yeah, it's a really good time. If you can handle a bit of extra humidity and some rain, like it, it's really beautiful and green here this time of year, and there's still going to be some waterfalls and swimming holes and stuff open, and, and of course, the fishing, if you get these nice glass off days like we're having right now with not a breath of wind.

It's absolutely crack of time to come up here for a fish as well. Yeah, that happy days, mate. That sounds pretty good. But mate, um, lots, lots going on.

I've got some breaking news for you. Obviously could be a worry, yeah. No, no, no, no, no. Get excited, mate, because we've planned our trips for next year.

We're going everywhere from Cape York to Tasmania. But we're also, when we are also heading across the Udnadada track. in South Australia, up through Dalhousie Springs, and through Fink, and then to Uluru, and finished filming at Uluru, at that point. I'll have a mate with me and his missus, and me and Mrs. Duck, we're heading to the Top End, and we'll be up there for about 2 or 3 weeks for a bit of downtime.

At the Dundee, out to Dundee, you know, a couple of the spots up there and probably even bump into you. Yeah, that's right, it's a bloody good drive up through there. I did, I did a drive from Western Victoria up through, in the data track, then uh, um, Street is Lecky and then a tanamite track right up to Broome a 100 years ago, and yeah, there's some, I mean, it's, it's, it's a lot of open plain gravel out there, but it's, it's pretty interesting to see, pretty unique part of our country and and some that doesn't really occur, many other places in the world either.

And then, yeah, if you end up at Dundee Beach, this is a pretty good trip, mate. Yeah, well, mate, and we'll be spending some time with you up to get you to take us out fishing. I know we've done corroborate a couple of times. He might have got to take us somewhere else. Yeah, we'll do that.

We might go see if we can get you in front of a saltwater barrel, one of those big queenfish in Darwin Arden, maybe. Yeah, that sounds pretty good. I do like the sound of that mate. All right, mate.

So it's all happening there and I'm doing, and mate, anyone just quickly, the $1000000 fish. Anybody jagged any money lately? No, not in the last week, mate. It starts to quieten off a $1000000 fish.

Once we get these big rains, and of course we had a hell of a lot of rain, over Cyclone Fina there, and there has been some pretty good fishing, because of that, you know, the Finnish river's really flowing, the Daly jumped up for a little bit there for a while, and you get these nice sort of 1st flush, and even some of the billabongs flushed out into some of the rivers too. So, people that keep an eye on the weather up here, particularly from this time of year through to that sort of 1st week of January. If you get it right, you can have some amazing barrow fishing sessions and yeah, of course, like I keep saying, the blue water. Today, you'd be absolutely oily flat out there off Darwin Harbour or Dundee. It'd be amazing fishing out there today. Sounds great, mate.
