He's obviously hasn't caught the tag fish this week because he's on the line. What do you get up? You're dead right, mate. I probably wouldn't be here if I'd caught the mill, that's for sure.

Mm, I know. You'd be gone. Where's Watty? Gone.

That'll happen one day. We won't be able to find you, then we'll know. He's caught the Barramundi with the $10000 tag. Yeah, yeah.

And might have actually gone fishing meself for once instead of taking all the rest of you mob fishing. That'd be nice. We're doing a bit of, but we're actually going to be doing some beach fishing down the bottom of WA in a few days. Yeah, well, bloody, very good fishing down there.

There's some amazing locations down along the bike there, and then once you get down to um to that southwest corner, um, some really good um, sort of jetty fishing and that sort of stuff. I did a fair bit of travel around that area when I was a young bloke, mate. So, yeah, I know some of the spots around there. beautiful.

As we know, and we have spoken about it before. We won't go there when you were broken down here with a couple of Swedish backpackers a few years back. Long before the lioness was on the scene, obviously, and anyway, we'll go through the Kaguna Roadhouse fairly shortly on your travels, I reckon. Yeah, well, we are cocklebitty at the moment, but we're only going to be on the move very, very shortly once I finish doing this.

Mate, on the tag fish, how's it going? Any war court? Oh, well, it seems to evolve every day, mate. I think they might be up to about 8 or 9 now.

Yeah, it just keeps happening for there's a couple people that have caught a couple and yeah, it's a great time to be going bar fishing up here and of course we've had that. I think I was chatting to you last week about a bit of dry, windy weather. That's all gone now and the rain's back. So, that's going to be really good for the next few days or however long it rains actually coming from the oceanside now too.

So, that's generally when it's a real change of seasons, um, rather than just these storms that build up, um, over land. That's perhaps when we're more into the real deal of the wet season. So, yeah, fingers crossed, that keeps happening and we keep getting the rain. Apart from the fact that I'm going to have to start mowing the lawn every 3 days.

So, yeah, you know, pros and cons, mate. So what it goes. We don't know it all year. I mean, so, you know, you got to have a go at some point.

What does that what does that do? What did they do to the fishing? I mean, obviously, it changes the way everything happens, I guess. I mean, there's a lot more rain about that bring the fish on.

Yeah, yeah, the steamy weather certainly brings the bar on and also gives us that real nice glassy out conditions to get out wide and do some of that blue water fishing as well. But it, it does mean that you need to really plan your days, perhaps a bit more carefully with the knowledge that there's, there's going to be some storms at some stage and perhaps some wind from a direction that you might not be real happy with if you, if you're way out wide or whatever and you've got a long way to come home, can get a bit bumpy. So, um, it's something to be mindful of, but they're generally fairly short-lived storms, and if you just sit around and wait for them to go past, have a cool down and um, and wait for it to stop, that, that's perhaps the best way to go, as they'll move faster than you do generally. Yeah, okay.

All right. So it's all happening up there, the real wet season's on your doorstep. So, and look, it's a great part of the world. I love it.

We've actually spoken a lot about the territory on this trip. The boys, when we sit around at night, having a couple of cold ones, and we talk about different places, and you somehow, I don't know what it is, but you always seem to come up. Well, yeah, I mean, it's um, Perhaps it's not too hard to shine to stand out up here or something, mate. I don't know.

I don't think I've done anything too extraordinary, but, um, it's, uh, it's, uh, yeah, I mean, of course, it's a great place to live, and this time he is pretty untouched up here, of course, from tourism, and perhaps not right now, but later on when that wet season really does kick in, I always say it, but, you know, it's a good time if you've got a weekend to come up and book a hotel room in a, you know, nice high uh building in the city and watch those big storms roll in across Darwin and and just experience just the sheer power of a, of a monsoon rain is uh, is something everyone would get a lot of benefit out of. I reckon. Yeah, oh, absolutely.

I think it'd be fantastic mate. So, um, certainly, um, I'd love to see that. I think I've seen some of the photos, especially some of the ones out of Dundee Beach, some of those photos, those storms, it just look amazing. Yeah, that's right.

And Dundee actually does get perhaps more rain than where I am here at Beast Creek and and certainly in Darwin at this time of year, until it all balances out once it starts coming from the north. So, yeah, you can so, you can follow it around a bit. It's a good time of year to be a bit of a weather chaser up here. I only got a couple of mates that are right into their weather and they get really excited when it comes back a bit more active, bit more stuff to look at on the radar, you know?
