I mean, I've got to say on a serious note, it's a huge worry. For the for the hard-working artists that we support here, who get out there, and ply their trade, write their songs, perform live. and then you've just set up set up there on the drink and made an album. I think it'll actually rejuvenate the demand for live music, mate.

So that people value live music more because yeah, you're dead right. You know, all the lifting services are probably right now getting flooded with all computer generated music. So I think the focus will go back on the live music, which is great. I've got to say, apart from the fact that it's all nonsense.

I do like I do like the name of the bean. The bare the Barefoot, the Barefoot bandits. Yeah, yeah, that's right. If only I could play an instrument or sing, I would be right.

Well, I did ask you who's singing? I mean, I was listening to it, and I'm thinking, who is this? Unreal, I thought, geez, what he can put on the voice. And then I find out it's a computer.

That's right, yeah. The Barefoot bandits, the buildup. Yeah, is that the album name, is it? The buildup. That's the album they name. Yeah.

Yeah, there's a couple of crowd favourites at the moment. Big mums on the billabong. There's a bit of a crowd favourite, and my personal favourite is November never ends. It's a really nice ballad about how we just wish it would start raining.

I've got to say to you, some of the some of the song titles, the album name, the band name, Oh, that's pretty good. All you need now is a couple of musicians and someone who can sing. You just need an actual band. Yeah, the band, yeah, yeah.

Because I thought, hang on a minute, what he's been up there putting this band together. The Barefoot bandits. And it's all, it's basically the, the bull, you know what, bandits. Yeah, that's right. Yep, that's what it is.

Good tunes, though. I could have said the other word, but multi would have been quick enough to hit the beat button. But anyway, all right, so now we've given that a plug for you. What do you get out of that?

I mean, nothing. You don't get anything out of it. It's just something fun to do. I suppose if it reached a couple of 1000000 downloads on Spotify or something, you might make 20 or 30 bucks out of it.

Where are you heading to? We're out on the water. We're doing a blue water day today. We're having a little bit of trouble finding fish at the moment, but I've got a couple of little honey holes up in your sleeve.

We are heading to now, we've done a couple of days on corroborate Billabong, and then we've got 2 a few more days inside Bynoe Harbour, chasing those barrow around in that shallow water on the flat, so that'll be good starting tomorrow. Yeah, I was actually at um, the four-wheel drive show in Sydney last weekend and uh, and I was, I played a bit of a clip of Oz Afraid TV, which included um, some of the stuff you and I did on corroborate Billabong, not a lot, but it was on there. And I was surprised at the amount of people that were sitting there in the audience had actually been to corroborate. Yeah, that's right.

Very popular spot, of course. I mean, you got the wildlife sunrise tours as well as fishing charters that are pretty popular around that area and because it's so convenient to town and close to the tavern and that sort of stuff. an easy day trip. Yeah, and what, I'll just, just on corroborate.

How did the girls' fishing comp go last week? Ah, yeah, it went really well. actually they got some big ones. I got a couple of 80s and I think 92 was the biggest barr.

Uh, who was it that won? One of my mates, I can't remember her name. They've got all these weird and quite raunchy names, some of these girls, fishing teams. So, yeah, no, a huge success, about 40 or 50 teams, and yeah, there was a few 100 Barack Court, and I think just under maybe about 80 or 90 Saratoga.

So, yeah. Good to be happy with that. Happy with that. then obviously it would have been a lot of, a lot going on at the, at the Corbery Tavern at night.

Oh yeah, that's right. Dangerous place to be on that Friday night for sure. For sure, mate. So you're out there and the water's pretty flat.

What's the, so what, so what are you just chasing? What are you chasing at the moment? you obviously got people on the boat. Are you fishing?

Is this a charter or are you just out there yourself? Yeah, no, I've got Ian and Hammer here. We're about halfway through our trip, and today we just wanted to blast around and see if we can find some birds busting up on bait and tuna, mackerel and that sort of stuff, and we did find some early, but they are a bit scattered and didn't really do what we needed them to do. So, we're heading up to the islands now where we should be able to get him some Trevelyan queenfish and other bits and pieces as the tide pushes over the rocks.

So when you say the islands, what islands are they? So, yeah, just sort of north of Dundee, there's a string of 4 or 5 islands, dummy Miri Island, beer, eater island, bear sand island, and a couple other smaller ones. It's, it's actually a really popular spot to go and um, you can do a tour there to watch the turtles hatch on the uh, full moon and new moon as well. So, yeah, we quite often see baby turtles up where we're going right now.

Yeah, you got to be happy with that. I mean, yeah, that's fantastic. Mate, you say the water's calm today. I mean, when will that sort of change?

I mean, the, it must be a bit of a buildup happening soon. When does all that start kicking off? Yeah, it'll blow up later on today for the sea breeze. Once that land heats up and starts sucking this wind back in from the ocean, it'll heat up and it has been a bit choppy here and there, just if there's storms around, but this is the time of year when the predominant breeze is fairly calm, mate.

So, yeah, right now you can barely feel it. So it's only just rippling a little bit, not quite a glass off. Yep, all right. Well, it sounds fantastic, mate.

So you're there, and this, and what, so you said you've been at corroboration. So what, this is a bit of a, a, a week-long trip. Is it for the boys? and then what, back to Dundee, back to the tavern? Back at the tavern each night tonight.

Yeah, well, I'm counting on him catching me a feed. shortly and um, and back to the tavern for 3 or 4 more nights and then, yeah, they'll head back down to Canberra. Yeah, right, okay. So the boys are from Canberra.

But anyway, that's okay. Yeah, so all right. So I'll tell you what, they'd know the difference going from Canberra to there. I mean, I've heard they were screaming for their t-shirts and singles.

Yeah, they come pretty well for pair, these fellas, not their 1st Rodeo. So, yeah, that's right, but it is a nice change from some cooler weather, I reckon. absolutely, mate. All right.

Well, it is warming up in our part of the world, but still, nothing like it is there. I've actually got a couple of mates up in the Cape at the moment or heading to the Cape and they're just starting to sweat it out. The further they go north, the further it starts to get. no doubt. That's right.

Yeah, so anyway, what's the Daly temperature up there at the minute, like during the day. Oh, so it's not much hotter than normal, mate. 32, 33, but it's just the humidity is rising now. So that's what sort of knocks people around if you're not used to it.

Getting all hot and sweaty, but yeah, I mean, we're probably up around 24, 25 overnight. So you definitely need the aircon on in the caravan in the park. That's just our stage blokes. They Raiders supporters.

Raiders, you guys Raiders, supporters? Ian's going for the Raiders. There you go. Yeah, yeah, yeah, jeez, I tell you what, he wouldn't have been happy last weekend.

I was with him too. I wasn't happy either. Yeah, righty, eh? There you go.

Yeah, they pull up, turn on the old Starlink, which he has on the boat, so we could talk to him, and we can't get a better fishing report than that, for someone who's actually out on the boat at the time we're talking to them, and happy days.
