Yeah, that's right. We are. We're in a, well, we're right out the back blocks of Bynoe Harbour up inside Madford Inlet today, just cruising along an edge, spotting a few fish and see if we can get them to eat a fly. Same fellas that I had on the boat with you last week when we spoke, actually.

Oh, fair thinking, mate. Oh, G's Irving, a big time, aren't they? Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I'm working pretty hard.

They're catching fish. Uh, yeah, we've got, uh, we've got a barrel each so far this morning. We just drove up to drove past a tree that had 10 of them on them and they managed to scare every single one of them off. one right now.

Oh, look, we've just caught, what have we got on your mangrave, Jack? There you go. We've got a jack on. Does it get any more real than this, does it? I mean, she's pretty real this show.

We try to keep it real. We take the show on the road. We broadcast from remote locations, and every now and again we jag you on the boat somewhere. You are remote, but to be honest, if you were to head straight to the pub, which pub would you get to first?

Yeah, that's right. If I had wings, I'd probably be able to fly to the Dundee pub in about 5 minutes from here in a direct line. Yeah, we don't like to go too far away from a motor, as you know. So if you were flying.

So in the boat, how far, how long a drive is it? We'd have to go back out around the island a little bit, but it'd take us half an hour. Yeah, right. I can be there for a cold one. Yeah, Popey'd be there.

Had a good yarn of papey last night. Things are going well, at the pub, mate. Yeah, I know, I followed them on social media. I suggest people do it.

I'll tell you what. It makes you want to go there to Dundee Beach Tavern. It's a great It's a great spot.

I've got to be honest with you. I think there he's probably the best sunset I've ever seen. There it is. I'm prepared to call it.

That it would have to be one of the best sunsets, if not the best, I've ever seen, sitting on that veranda or that big, you know, that big open area there at the pub, looking across the sky, look like it was just painted orange. Look beautiful. Yeah, and it's really nice at the moment with a bit of smoke in the air as well. Don't forget the caravan park too.

I've got my van parked at the caravan park there at the moment, and they've got ensuited sites there, and Fair Ink and the ensuite is as flash as any 5 star hotel you'd see. So, it's an absolutely amazing facility across the board these days out, Dundee. Yeah, it's a great little town. I've got to say, it had my name written all over it when I went there.

You told me about it many times and then I think last year we were up there, we popped out there and had a look and we actually filmed there. And I couldn't believe how good it was. People can see that, actually, if you watch I was Afraid TV. The last episode of last year, the season one, it ends there at Dundee Beach. It's a great place.

Mate, fishing out there. Obviously, it's a big, big boat ring facility there. It's a popular spot, isn't it, to put the boat in and go out and have a look? Yeah, it really is.

And it's just had a big upgrade too. The boat ramp has got now got a really dedicated land-based fishing platform on it as well. So, it's actually wheelchair access, and you can go right out onto the end of the rock wall, uh, and fish, fish off there, and I mean, there's plenty of barramundi that get caught there, golden snapper, Jew fish, threadfin, all the fish that we fish for, from a boat. You can get them off the bank, right within a 100 metre walk of the pub, mate.

So that's not a bad way to spend the afternoon with the kids. That's for sure. Yeah. That's a lot, isn't it? Unreal.

Yeah, yeah. So people catch them there just off the off the off the land. Yep, definitely. So, um, you know, around these big moons that we've got at the moment, you get a big high tide 1st thing in the morning. Great time to go down there and have a fish at Barramundi, especially love grouping up around the rocks there on those high tides 1st thing in the morning.

So, yeah, it's got it all going on. Yeah, the Dundee boat, Dundee boat ramp. Now, listen, you'd be pretty quiet up there staying out at Dundee with the van and a few customers. wouldn't be much going on at night. into bed early.

What happens? Oh, yeah, that's right. Yeah. No doubt.

Unfortunately, they've got CCTV all around the Caribbean Parks, so they can probably call me out for that if they if they can too. No, it's a good spot, mate. And of course, a brand new pool in the in the caravan park as well. I find ourselves in there nice evenings as well.

Oh, mate, what a great spot. Dundee Beach up there in the top in. Oh, mate, you're living the dream, mate. Seriously.

I really am actually, yeah. Mate, just quickly, just quickly. Just quickly, a bit of a buildup now because it'll be, you know, we're in spring now. What does that mean for the weather up there and what does it mean for the fishing? Yeah, that's right.

We had a bit of windy weather earlier in the week, but today, and it looks like for the next few days, is going to steam up again and flatten out for us. So that's sort of what we're looking forward to, especially doing what I'm doing right now trying to spot fishing clean water and and fly fishing and stuff. So, yeah, it's really starting to, to change the season and uh, actually forecasts to be a rain in the next few days as well. So, that's sort of a good sign, even if it doesn't rain, it will be humid and still, so that's what we're after.

Good stuff, mate. All right. Well, well done. And it is good.

It doesn't get much real than this, does it? Starlink works well. I mean, you've just, it's like you're just, you know, it's, you know, in the same suburb as me. It's clear out.

Yeah, it's going well today, clear sky, see, makes all the difference, yeah. Yeah, it certainly does, and it makes a huge difference to what we do for a living. The old starlink and well done, Elon, although they don't advertise with us, but everybody uses it. I don't think they need to advertise, do they?

Geez, there was some... They have a 1000s of them set up down there. I mean, you'll be flat out getting a satellite. It was unbelievable.

I mean, the other thing that probably a lot of people aren't quite aware of yet, too, is that I was text messaging you an hour ago, and that was without it even turned on, and that's because Telstra's, you can now send a text message via Starlink satellite, even when you're out of phone service. So that's a really great safety feature as much as anything when you're travelling remote like we are all the time as well, mate. Yeah, absolutely. It's a big thing.

And people say, what's the 1st thing you sort out on big outback trips? And I always say you communicate. You've got to get that before you go anywhere. Yeah, but although you do bump into a lot of people, but if you want to go very remote, you need them comms. All right, mate, we'll let you get back to the fishing and try to behave yourself, you know, after that half hour boat drive back to the beach, will you, this afternoon tonight?

Oh, yeah. Yeah, no doubt. be no trouble here, mate. Yeah, I know there'll be no, but you know, just don't make a spectacle of yourself.
