It's time to head to the top N and Bag a Barra. With Glenn Watty Watts. Thanks to Shimano. Remember to buy local and fish local.

visit shimanofish.com.au. Well, before we get out of here, I thought about a bit of a quick chat to my man, Watty, to wish him a Merry Christmas. He is a big part of this show all year round. He's on the line.

Watty, how are you, son? Yeah, I'm very well, mate. are you? Mate how many Christmas parties have you been to?

Well, every, oh, well, at least one a day, I suppose. That's pretty normal, isn't it? One a day, yeah, well, not day here, it is, but I'm in the northern territory, I'm sure it's probably one even 2 Christmas parties a day. mate, just quickly.

Uh, fishing, you'll be going off up there at the moment, we're bubbly closer to the Christmas time now. and that wet seeds and everything else. Any other tag fish caught this week? No other tag fish caught this week, mate.

No, I did get out for a fish myself, went for a little lookout to Kakadu and up to the top of the floodplain of the South alligator. It's all looking really good. It's flooded once already, and then, um, you know, we get a bit more rain over Christmas and should be ready to go come January. Yeah, no, good stuff mate.

And what about what about yourself? Christmas having Christmas at home this year, which is a big thing for you. Certainly, um, because, you know, with the family coming up, because normally you're down at the family farm in Victoria, are you, how are the preparations going for that? Oh, yeah, going pretty good.

We make sure the aircons are working well and it's pretty nice and cool drinks in the fridge, so the old fella doesn't melt when he gets off the plane, but um, no, it's going to be good. Look, it looks like it's going to be pretty wet Christmas, so it won't be too hot. In fact, if it, um, if it goes the way it's looking like going, Darwin will probably be one of the cooler places on Christmas day. Yeah, that's unbelievable because it's normally one of the hottest places in the country or it's all years, so it will be good up there.

And I guess, you know, the wet up there, you're used to it this time of year. And how are the family go, mate? They'll be sweet. Oh, yeah, well, I mean, you only have to be outside in the heat if you want to be, I suppose, you know, we've got air con, we've got swimming pool and everywhere you go to do activities, we've got air con. So, yeah, we'll manage it, but, you know, we just got to make sure you stay hydrated, duct.

the most important thing. Yep, and you're very good at doing that anyway. All right. Well, mate, good stuff.

Look, we just want to thank you for, you know, making yourself available again this year on the show, mate. You're certainly, one of our regulars have been since we started. And, mate, we love telling people to get out there and wet a line, and especially with some of the things you're doing now with overseas fishing trips with angling adventures, as well as Barefoot Fishing Safaris in the top ends. You a good man, mate. And you're a good part of this show, mate.

Want to wish all the very best for Christmas and I hope the big man in the Red Sea is kind to you. Yeah, well, I hope he is too. I've been a good boy this year and same to you, mate. I appreciate it's been another good year.

Yeah, and they forget too, you're appearing on Oz Afraid TV very soon. Oh, yeah, well, everyone will be waiting for that. They'll be watching the TV guys. especially you.

Everyway. All good. Thanks, Watty. you a good man mate.

and hopefully they'll keep biting and we'll certainly talk to you very, very soon. Look forward to it. Thanks, mate. There he is.

Glenn, what do you want? Barefoot Fishing Safaris and annling adventures based up there in the Top End. A pretty steamy Top End this time of year, and he's the best in the business when it comes to catching fish up there, that's for sure.
