It's time to head to the top N and Bag a Barra. With Glenn Watty Watts, thanks to Shimano. Remember to buy local and fish local. visit shimanofish.com.au. And, of course, our man Glenn, what do you want?

From Barefoot Fishing Safaris and Angling Adventures join us just about every week to tell us what's happening in the fishing world. In particular in the Top End. But he's not in the Top End this week, you'll still tell us what they're catching up there, but he's in Victoria. What are you doing there, mate?

Oh, g'day, Doc. Yeah. Little quick little breakdown here, heading back down for a mate's wedding. Uh, on the way to Edenhope, actually.

So, um, be heading to some of the best Gabby country in in Victoria, and probably in Australia. Actually, we're looking forward to a seat of Western Victorian Yabbey. Yeah, you get into the abbeys, mate. You like them?

What about the abbey races, mate? You've ever been to them? They pretty good too. Yeah, well that's right.

We used to have a thing at our local show when I was a kid called Yabi Lotto, and they had a little tank full up with muddy water, and and your kids, kids, we all had to dive our hands in there, grab a yabi, and if you had a certain kind of bread bag, tie on his claw, you'd win ¢50 or a hard boiled egg or something, and most of your, most of your time, screaming and hollering because they're biting you on the fingers rather than winning prizes. But that's how we got raised out here, mate. a good life. But and you won 50 cents.

Well, a bit different than up in the Top End where they're giving away a $1000000 for tag catchers. What's happening up there, mate? Any more wins over the last week? No, none no more over the last week.

I did see that they've given away the $1000000 road trip though, which was another one of the big promotions throughout the dry season this year, so one lucky family who was travelling around Australia won a 1000000 bucks just for doing that. Oh, yeah, there's a bit going on up home, yeah, for sure. Yeah. What happens? So if you went on a road trip,

I was up in the northern territory, how come I didn't know about this, I would have entered. Yeah, well, I didn't know too much about myself, but yeah, there was a bit talk at the Caribbean parks and stuff. So, yeah, keep an eye out for next season. I suppose it could well be on.

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, that's okay. So if you did a road trip with the Northern territory, you could, it was, what was it, the $1000000 road trip, and just by going to the Northern territory, you won a $1000000 That's a good sale.

Yeah, obviously you would have had to do certain activities or something to qualify, but yeah, not a bad way to go. They'll pay the fuel bill for the RAM, mate. Oh, just. Yeah, you might cover it a bit, yeah, but anyway.

I'm tipping the fishing is still pretty good up there at the moment with the change in season, the wet on the way and things happening and fish are active. Yeah, that's right. Same story as it sort of always is this time of year, more and more rain, and more and more fish, mate. There's plenty of big fish being caught, especially on the smaller tides, but those um, those big tides have been really good for the harbour barrors and stuff too, for people that just want to get out for a couple of hours over the, the right part of the tide, just out of Darwin, of course.

So, yeah, um, I did get to go for a chance out there, um, Kakadu, like I was saying last week, and yeah, that was a bit of fun too, having a, having a fish in the billabongs and stuff with absolutely no one else around. So, yeah, um, you know, really enjoyable part of the year. Although, um, of course, quite hot, but, you know, you're playing your days around it and make sure there's plenty of ice in the esky. Yeah, I know exactly right.

I know the other, Oh, well, it was last Friday night we wanted to get you on a live show we do with John Stanley on 2 GB Sydney, 4 BC, Brisbane, and network stations, and we had a hard time following you because you're in the pool. I mean, mate, that's cool. I didn't hear the phone ring and I was in the pool with the kid.

Yeah, but you know, that's the way it goes, mate. And of course, when I was driving to the airport last night, the most amazing lightning shows and stuff happening as we were taking off in the plane in Darwin too. So, yeah, I mean, we keep talking about that, but yeah, so, it is hard to sort of describe it without, without people seeing it for themselves. Yeah, you know, let me see some pretty good videos and photos on social media, in particular, if you follow NT news and a few of the other people, businesses up there like yourself or the pub at Dundee Beach.

I mean, they always put up some good stuff. Obviously, they've got a front row seat there for the light shows at night. So pretty good. All right, mate.

Just quickly will you drop a line down on this little trip or you just do the wedding thing and catch up with family and friends. One drop a line, um, apart from um, a few yabbey pots, mate, like, um, yeah, that West Wimmer area, sort of um, south of Horsham, I suppose, is that sort of low line, swampy country where the yabbies just do really well. You might have waste deep water and you can, we just wade around out there with some drop nets and you can, you can get a feed very, very quickly and all on private land too. So, It's, um, a pretty, pretty awesome part of the world this time of year.

about 30 degrees down here today, mate. So it's actually really beautiful weather for us to come down from Darwin too. Good stuff, mate. All right.

Well, hopefully that all goes well and it stays like that. All right. We'll let you get back to it, mate. We'll catch you next week when you're back up in the Top End.

That's it? Yep. I'll be back up there and sweating it out again and yeah, I'll talk to you then. All right, mate.

There he is. That's Glenn, what do you want? Catching me out, Barefoot Fishing Safaris, or angling adventures. And if you want to go fishing with the best and catch them.

Well, you need to go with Watty. So check out both those websites as well as the social media pages. Look for Barefoot Fishing Safaris and if you want them real big adventures, you need to check out angling adventures and what it will sort you out there.
