Oh, he's our man, what are you up there? He's loving it right now because at this time of year, it's raining. It's hot, it's steamy. And he's got those sunglasses on.
What are those sunglasses you wear? You got me Makos on Dutch? You make those, yeah. You got them on?
prescription clear, Mako sunglasses on at the moment. Hang on, hang on. What are they? Prescription, clear ones.
So they're just clear. Oh, mate, you've got a quick Can you put a photo up on your, or send it to him? See what they like. Yeah, yeah. Fuck Clark Kent.
Oh, no. So you, well, because I think I saw a post the other day where you were wearing your, or you were doing some plug-in. Are they? Make a sunglasses.
Yeah, that's the one. Yeah, and they do prescription glasses, do they? Yeah, they do. Oh, we'll get onto them.
I need some new ones eh? I just got off the water, wearing the tinted like a normal sunny's in prescription. The glass lenses. They're amazing.
Yes. So clear. good. All right.
Make it. All right. They don't advertise here, but anyway, we'll look. We'll look after you.
Yeah, I mean, they dramas. What do you want? you want to plug? You know?
Oh, no, I think a local bottle shop or someone? You're going off to get a carton on your way home. You want to get a discount or? Well, which one do we start with, mate?
Yeah, I know. And now it's time for the Bottolo show. Imagine that all the territory bottle shop show. Mate, what's Biding? You've been out fishing and there's been a bit of rain as well.
I'm tipping the weather to be certainly on the turn now, but what's biting? Yeah, well, they're all biting, mate. It's actually been going really well. The barrel pretty busy this morning and what else do we get? Queenfish, golden snappers and cod, all sorts, yeah, javelin fish as well, mackerel.
Um, yeah, I mean, proper glass out conditions out on the harbour this morning. And, um, you know, we got off the water just as it started to rain and yeah, here I am now. It actually hammer and rain. I've just called into the airport, so... So, mate, you want to, is this a, was this a guided tour or just out for yourself?
Yeah, no, just a couple blokes up from home, so a little half day hit and run, 4 hours in Darwin Harbour. Just choose the right tides and off we go have a crack, yeah. and you get it right and it works really well. But sometimes, you know, it can be a bit slow and um, 4 hours goes pretty fast when they're not biting, but um, yeah, today we were pretty lucky and things went our way.
Yeah, you're going to be happy with that, haven't you? So everyone got to feed them, which is good. And, and when I saw, I saw somewhere, and what have been last week, maybe of the week before that some, a couple of blokes won the 10 grand, and it was the 2nd time they'd won it. Yeah, yeah, how's that? Pretty lucky, isn't it?
Did you hear about that? Yeah, I did. And I thought, oh, I wonder if it was the same spot or anything else, crazy like that. But there's been a few people catch a couple, especially those crew down at the Daly River.
Um, the fish sort of aggregate in certain area down there um, this time of year and they, um, yeah, there's been a few people catch a couple, which I wish they'd sort of shared that luck a little bit, which would be nice. You can't jag it for one little prize yet. You got people winning a couple of prizes. So not bad, especially a couple of blokes winning, you know, 10 grand twice, so happy day.
Yeah, yeah, that's right. Well, that sorts out the Christmas present, doesn't it? takes the pressure off a bit. Yeah, you'd like to think so, mate.
All right. So it's all happening up there. And what about the weather? So a little bit more rain now as we get closer, closer towards December?
Yeah, I really think we're here now. as far as wet season goes. It's raining, if not every day, every 2nd day. Everything's green and of course the grass is jumping out of the ground and the whole joint just springs to life when you get that rain instead of sort of irrigated water.
um, you know, that natural rain, just makes everything, I guess it washes the dust off the trees and stuff like that, and the whole joint just comes alive, and yeah, we've got a lot of magpie geese and ducks wandering around out in our back paddock there. So, yeah, it's wet season and you know, really, really enjoyable time of year for us and really exciting too, because it means Christmas parties are here and Christmas holidays and then hopefully a big run off. You've probably already been to about 6 or something, if not more. Yeah, well, we start in mid-November, you know.
mate, I understand. I understand the Christmas party starting November, mid-November. Well, I thought, wasn't there one earlier that last year, like September or October or something? I thought, mate, only up there.
I mean, fair income. Yeah, it's hard to remember back that far when you go to that many, isn't it? Well, of course. I mean you are the social butterfly up there.
All right. Right. Well, let you get to where it is eating too, mate. We catch you next week, see what's biting, eh?
Righto mate. Good on you, all the bit. See if you can't get 10 grand through the week. Yeah, I'd like to pay me house off with that $1000000 one be nice.
Oh, mate, don't forget your old mate, the duck if that happens, okay? No, well, I mean, probably you'll have to be worth more than that, though. It would be no good to you. See you, Wady.
See you mate. There he is. That's Watty on his way to the bottle shop after catching us. bag full of fish up there at Darwin Harbour, and he loves the wet season, and just imagine being up there, and then it all just pours rain.
I just, uh, yeah, oh, mate, you'd be loving it. And as you said, you just imagine what the that rainwater is actually doing to the plant life and everything up there. Jesus, it would be fantastic. And he's absolutely living it up there in the Top End in Darwin.
