Okay, let's head to the Top End, to Bag a Barra, with Glenn, what he wants, thanks to Barefoot Fishing Safaris. Watty. Our man up there from Barefoot Fishing Safaris is on the line. Got the life of, we'd all love to live, I reckon.

Wadi, how are you, son? G'day, Doc. Good. are you? Good mate.

Now, look, you just told me off air that it's you're not going fishing today, so what are you doing instead? Oh, well, yeah, the joys of running a small business, mate. There's plenty of paperwork to do. No, that's not what you said, Watty.

Watty, that's not what you said. You said you were just going to kick back and drink beer for the rest of the day. Yeah, well, you can't do paperwork without beer, mate. Yeah, exactly.

Exactly right. What was that when you said last week? You get fined up there for driving past the pub? Yeah, well, that's right.

My accountant doesn't appreciate it if I do make book work sober, so... You can imagine your book work. have to have had a few cans just to be able to assess it, I reckon. Oh, yeah, it's not my thought day, that's for sure. So, mate, you want to talk a little bit about the $10000 Barra, which is, um, we've we've done some stuff on this over the last few years with this events on.

It's a beauty, mate. that's about to kick off again Yeah, that's right. It's actually starting on the 1st day or 2 ago now and it's the 5th season.

It goes pretty fast. They've given away well over $300,000 worth of money associated to fish already and I was just looking on the website there yesterday when I registered myself. There's 30 grand worth of prizes that you can get this year just for registering. You don't even have to go fishing.

So how good that? Yeah, that's unbelievable. So you don't have to go fishing to get into it. No, that's right.

I guess they want to trick us into giving them their email so they can spam us with some marketing stuff and that's fine because you can win fridges and gift vouchers to anaconda and all sorts of other cool stuff. I think there's a camper trailer or something too. So, that's all good. But if you do, if you do end up up here for a fish, there's 6 tag barrow there that have, that have got that $1000000 tag on them.

Um, and obviously once the 1st one goes off, or if it goes off, the other ones revert back to a $10,000 fish, as well as another, uh, um, 100 of the red tag, um, fish worth 10 grand each, and 20 purple tag fish, where the total prizes, 5 grand, where 2.5 goes to the angler and 2.5 to uh, um, charity of their choice, which is the cool concept as well. Yeah, that is fantastic mate. And like we say, it's an event that's held every year and we've, we try to promote that as it comes, comes around each time. And but no one's ever jagged the actual $10000 up with one hit, have they? No, that's right.

No one's got the $10000 fish. Um, there's plenty of, there's 3 or 4 blokes that have caught um, a couple of barra in the, a red tag, fish that have won 10, 10 grand. I think there's a couple of blokes down the Daly that might have made 30 odd $1000 each out of it so far. They, um, and it goes and showed that just, they don't tend to move too much, um, sort of directly after they've been caught these fish.

Once the, once the rain starts and and they, uh, the floodplains start flooding and stuff, they'll move a bit. But yeah, they're going to be within a few kilometres of where the boys caught them and tagged them over the last couple of months. So, um if you've had your spies out on the water, you'll have a pretty good idea where they might be. Oh, how good is that?

I'm tipping you'd have plenty of spies out there checking it out, mate. If not, you might be one of the spies, but somebody else. But you are the guru up there, mate. All right, Watty, well, mate.

And I'll tell you now, one of the very best places to go and actually have a crack for these fish, and that's probably where we tend to focus a lot next couple of days, tomorrow I'll be out there, um, is Darwin Harbour. Uh, there's been a significant number of the barrow that have been tagged over the last few years of being caught in Darwin Harbour. And it's, um, it's very accessible. You know, we, we see the Qantas planes flying over us when we're, when we're having a fish there, so you're only 20, 20 minutes from the airport. Oh, how good is that?
