One Minute Monday Tip. The bearing box.
It sounds pretty simple but I’m always surprised to find how many people leave home without a few spares for the trailer, especially in the top end.
A blown wheel bearing, broken spring or dropped brake calliper can hold you up or put an end to your much anticipated trip.
Grab a small tool box and bolt it to the front of your trailer, load it full of all the bits and pieces you might need in case of a road side break down. If you can’t fit a box on the trailer or have a few trailers, put all your spares into a tool bag and throw it in the back every time you hook a trailer up.
Its a bit of a cost to set up but at the end of the day you are better to have it with you than to have to leave a mate with the trailer on the side of the road while you drive an hour back to town to buy a wheel bearing!
