I really did just have one of the most interesting weeks fishing for bream in two rounds of the ABT BERKLEY bream series. It took me three days to get the first bream after countless flathead, trevally and other species. But then found a groove at Mallacoota.
The comps are such a great format where non boaters are paired with experienced boaters randomly each day. I was lucky enough to get buddied up with top blokes and gun anglers and ended up with a top 5 finish in the Mallacoota round as a non boater and about 26th overall out of over 100 anglers. Some of the tricks these blokes have up their sleeves for fussy bream are incredible.
Big thanks to Steve Starling and Cameron Whittam for the help along the way.
